Hola amigos,

Vuelvo con las preguntas de inexperto:

Tengo un shape de rios, de toda una cuenca hidrográfica, y preciso segmentarlo en unidades de 5 km.
Intento hacerlo con el comando "Divide" de ArcGis 9.1, pero en lugar de hacer tramos de 5 km genera "unidades(?)" de 5 km a partir de una sumatoria de pequeños tramos de río ubicados en distintas partes del la cuenca.
Desde ya agradezco cualquier sugerencia.

Utiliza Proportion tool, sólo para ArcEditor y ArcInfo.
Te remito los pasos a seguir, copiados de la ayuda:

Click the Edit tool .

Select the line that you want to proportionally divide.

If you have not done so already, add the Advanced Editing toolbar to ArcMap.

On the Advanced Editing toolbar, click the Proportion tool .

Type the lengths of the segments into which to divide the line.

Optionally, click Reverse to switch the orientation of the line if the arrows indicating the orientation of the feature on the map are the reverse of the order in which you entered the segments.

Click OK.


The line is split proportionally to the length of the measured segments. Any difference between the line length and the sum of the length of the segments is allocated proportionately to the new lines' length.
